Sara Diaz graduated from San Francisco State University with a Master's in Accountancy in May 2021. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Social and Behavioral Sciences. She is currently studying for her CPA exams as she works towards her CPA License.

She is an alumnus of the Puente Program, ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals for America), and a lifetime member of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honor society for accounting and finance students and professionals. She served four tax seasons as a VITA (IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program) tax preparer, a site supervisor, and a site coordinator helping prepare free taxes for low-to-intermediate income communities.

Not-for-profit accounting combines Sara's passion for accounting and giving back to underserved communities. As someone who has benefited from nonprofit organizations, and after taking an Advanced Not-for-Profit accounting course, Sara knew she had found her niche in accounting. Her goal is to work for an accounting firm and specialize in not-for-profit accounting.
