Community Health Promoter | Community Outreach Specialist
María Merlan is a founding member of Radiate Consulting OC and a dedicated Community Health Promoter committed to advancing health equity, community wellness, and resident empowerment throughout Orange County. She specializes in culturally responsive outreach, health education, and connecting underserved communities with essential resources and services.
María has completed extensive professional training in mental health, community health promotion, healthy aging, and psychological first aid. Her certifications include Mental Health First Aid, Contact Tracing for Health Equity, Human Subjects Research, Biomedical Research (CITI Program), the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Aging with Dignity, Workforce Readiness, and Psychological First Aid for Migrants, Refugees, and Displaced Populations through institutions including the University of California, Irvine (UCI), UC Berkeley, CalGrows, and the California Department of Aging.
In addition to her public health work, María integrates creative wellness practices into community engagement through therapeutic floral design workshops that promote healing, connection, and resilience.
